Jess Trad scores 22 points to lead Columbus Catholic girls basketball past Greenwood

MARSHFIELD – Jess Trad poured in 22 points in the first three quarters to lead the Marshfield Columbus Catholic girls basketball team to a 50-28 victory over Greenwood on Thursday night in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game at Columbus Cathoilc High School.

Trad scored nine points in the first quarter as the Dons (8-6, 5-4 Cloverbelt East) took a 14-7 lead.

Columbus opened its lead to 23-8 by halftime, holding the Indians without a field goal in the second quarter.

Trad scored eight more points in the third quarter to push the Dons to a 23-point lead.

Eight of the nine Dons that played scored in the victory.

Greenwood is now 4-10 and 3-7 in the Cloverbelt East.

Columbus Catholic returns to action Tuesday at home against first-place Loyal.
