Spencer volleyball beats Loyal, improves to 2-0 in Cloverbelt East

SPENCER – The Spencer volleyball team improved to 2-0 in the Cloverbelt Conference East Division with a 3-0 sweep of Loyal on Thursday night at Spencer High School.

The Rockets won 25-14, 25-18, 25-21.

“We played more as a team tonight,” Spencer coach Buff Heller said. “If we clean up our side of the net, things will improve quick.”

Lexi Baehr had 10 kills and 12 digs, Sadie Mercier added 22 assists, two aces and two blocks, and Shelbi Hoefs had 13 digs for the Rockets.

Shaelee Neitzel added seven kills and two blocks in the victory.

Spencer hots Marshfield Columbus Catholic on Tuesday in a battle of conference leaders.
