Marshfield grad Calden Wojt finishes 2nd in 200 at NCAA Division III track championships

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Calden Wojt, a 2016 Marshfield High School graduate, earned a silver medal at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships on March 10.

Wojt, a sophomore for the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, finished second in the 200 meters in a time of 21.668 seconds. The photo finish landed Wojt just behind champion Jordan Johnson of Benedictine (Kan.), who won in 21.666 seconds.

Noah Zastrow, a freshman at UW-Stout and a 2017 Spencer High School grad, placed fifth in the pole vault with a vault of 16-0.75. Dan Evers of Monmouth (Ill.) won the event with a vault of 17-7.25.

Sylviann Momont, a 2016 Auburndale High School graduate and a sophomore at UW-Stevens Point, took 15th in the women’s pentathlon with 588 points. She was 15th in the 800 meters (2:47.37), ninth in the 60-meter hurdles (9.42 seconds), 15th in the high jump (4-9.75), 12th in the long jump (16-3.25), and fifth in the shot put (33-5.75) among the 17 competitors in the event.
