WEST BEND – Jake Scheppler scored 22 points but the University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County men’s basketball team fell behind early and couldn’t catch up, losing to UW-Washington County 70-56 on Monday night.
The Marauders (4-7) trailed 35-24 at halftime and couldn’t make up any ground in the second half.
UW-Marshfield hosts Western Technical College on Wednesday at 7 p.m. and host its annual Marshfield Classic on Friday and Saturday. Gogebic Community College plays Fox Valley Tech at 6 p.m. and Marshfield plays UW-Fond du Lac at 8 p.m. on Friday. The consolation game is at 1 p.m. and the championship game at 3 p.m. on Saturday at the Marauder Gym.
