SPENCER – The Spencer baseball team snapped a four-game losing streak with a 10-0 rout of Greenwood in Cloverbelt Conference East Division action Tuesday at Spencer High School.

The Rockets scored twice in the first inning on an RBI single by Tyler Peterson and an error, and the 2-0 advantage held until the sixth when Spencer erupted with eight runs thanks to seven walks and a bases-loaded three-run double by Carter Luepke.

Peterson went the distance on the mound for Spencer, striking out five without a walk and allowing just one hit.

Madden Prybylski and Peterson each had two hits and scored two runs, and Peterson chipped in two RBI for the Rockets (6-4, 3-3 Cloverbelt East).

The two teams will play again Thursday at Greenwood.
