Marshfield boys basketball team slams Eau Claire Memorial

EAU CLAIRE – The Marshfield boys basketball team made its second trip this week to Eau Claire, and after suffering a loss at Eau Claire North on Tuesday, the Tigers rebounded with a convincing 62-41 victory over Eau Clarie Memorial in a nonconference matchup on Saturday at Memorial High School.

Valin Ramberg came off the bench and scored a team-high 17 points, Brooks Hinson added 16, and Chris Pohl had 15 points and eight rebounds for Marshfield, which improves to 19-2 this season.

Landon Lee added 11 points and four assists for the Tigers.

No player for Memorial scored more than nine as Marshfield held the Old Abes (15-6) to just 31 percent shooting (15-for-48).

Marshfield hosts Stevens Point on Tuesday and can wrap up its third-straight Wisconsin Valley Conference championship with a victory.
