CHETEK – No. 7 seed Chetek-Weyerhaeuser scored the final five points of the game to pull out a 49-44 win over No. 10 Spencer in a WIAA Division 4 girls basketball regional quarterfinal Tuesday at Chetek-Weyerhaeuser High School.

The Rockets fell behind 23-6 early before rallying to tie the game late, only to see C-W finish off the win and advance in the state playoffs.

Chetek-Weyerhaeuser (10-15) moves on to a Division 4 regional semifinal at No. 2 seed Phillips (22-2) on Friday.

Autumn Davis scored 24 of her team-high 28 points in the second half to lead the comeback effort for Spencer. Emma Nieman added nine points for the Rockets, who finish the season with a 6-19 record.
