GREEN BAY – Five divisional champions were crowned at Saturday as the 2024 WIAA State Girls Basketball Tournament concluded at the Resch Center.

Albany/Monticello (26-3) captured its first state title as a co-op program with a 57-54 overtime win over Lena in the Division 5 title game. Monticello had won one title as a solo program in 1991.

In Division 4, Laconia (28-2) won its second-straight state championship with a 47-43 victory over Cuba City.

Madison Edgewood (27-3) held off Appleton Xavier 55-52 to take the Division 3 championship. The state title is Edgewood’s second as it also won it all in 2017.

Pewaukee (29-1) knocked off three-time defending state champion Green Bay Notre Dame 60-52, avenging losses in the last two D-2 title games to the Tritons. The title is Pewaukee’s first in program history.

Hartland Arrowhead capped off the tournament with a 69-59 win over Neenah to win the Division 1 championship. Arrowhead, making its 11th state appearance, captured its third title after having also won gold balls in 1988 and 1991.
