STANLEY – Stanley-Boyd scored a run in the bottom of the ninth inning to defeat Spencer 7-6 in a nonconference baseball game Monday at Stanley-Boyd High School.

The Rockets led 3-0 after a two-run double by Drake Johnson in the first inning and a sacrifice fly by Carter Luepke in the second.

Stanley-Boyd fought back to take a 6-5 lead before Spencer tied it on a Luepke RBI single in the sixth and the score held for three more innings before the Orioles (6-8) pulled out the victory.

Luepke and Johnson both finished with three hits for Spencer (5-10).
