MARSHFIELD – The Columbus Catholic softball team won its eighth-straight game and stays undefeated in the Cloverbelt Conference East Division with a 16-1 rout of Loyal/Greenwood on Thursday at the Marshfield Fairgrounds.

The Dons (14-3, 11-0 Cloverbelt East) scored multiple runs in all four innings as the game ended via the 15-run rule.

Akosua Yeboah picked up the pitching win for the Dons, allowing just two hits and one run in four innings, with five strikeouts.

Katelyn Casperson and Shelby Spata both had two hits and four runs scored, and Spata, Mattea Schlafke and Ciena Adler all had two RBI in the win for Columbus Catholic.

Columbus will travel to Adams-Friendship for a nonconference game Monday.
