RICHLAND CENTER – Brandon DeSmet scored 21 points to lead four University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County men’s basketball players in double figures, but the Marauders dropped to 5-10 overall and 3-3 in the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference 83-72 at UW-Richland Center on Wednesday night.
Trevor Gorman, Cole Cloutier and Jake Scheppler each scored 10 points for UW-Marshfield.
Richland Center led 32-23 at halftime and outgunned the Marauders in a high-scoring second half 51-49.
The Marauders play at Western Technical College in La Crosse on Saturday.
