Spencer/Columbus wrestling team uses forfeits to beat Loyal

SPENCER – Spencer/Columbus won only one match that was wrestled but defeated a depleted Loyal team thanks to six forfeits 39-15 in a Cloverbelt Conference match on Thursday night at Spencer High School.

Nick Vaughan had the only win for the Rockets of the five matches that were actually wrestled. Vaughan beat Andrew Prusinski 2-1 at 215 pounds.

The Rockets improve to 2-4 in Cloverbelt duals and will be off until the Cloverbelt Conference Meet on Feb. 5 at Neillsville.
