WAUSAU – Wausau Newman Catholic scored 10 runs over the final three innings to push past Auburndale 15-5 in a Marawood Conference South Division baseball.
Auburndale battled back after giving up four runs in the first inning and took a 5-4 lead before the Cardinals tied the game with a run in the third inning, then added four in the fourth, two in the fifth and four in the sixth to pull away and win via the 10-run rule.
Isaac Biehoffer had two hits and two RBIs, and Austin Hawkins added a hit and two RBIs for Auburndale (0-2 overall and Marawood South).
