WISCONSIN DELLS – The Marshfield girls golf team kicked off its season playing in the two-day Wisconsin Dells Invitational on Wednesday and Thursday at Trappers Turn and Christmas Mountain golf courses.
Although complete results were not reported, first-year coach Mike Field said the Tigers finished in the middle of the pack of the 18-team meet.
Maggie Field led Marshfield with a two-day total of 192. Others competing for the Tigers were Macy Fitzgerald, Savannah Shortess, Kallie Mayer and Molly Field.
Marshfield is scheduled to play in the Eau Claire Memorial Invitational on Monday at Hillcrest Golf Course as it begins a busy week that includes six meets in nine days.
The Tigers will also play at Wisconsin Rapids on Tuesday, at Stanley-Boyd on Thursday and again at Rapids in two separate meets on Aug. 26 and another on Aug. 28-29.
