MARSHFIELD – The 43rd annual Marshfield Cross Country Invitational will be held Tuesday at Wildwood Park.
A total of 15 teams will be competing in the event, which begins at 4 p.m. with the middle school race. The girls JV race is slated for 4:30 p.m., with the girls varsity at 5 p.m., the boys JV at 5:30 p.m. and the boys varsity at 6 p.m.
Teams competing in the invitational include Marshfield, Marshfield Columbus Catholic, Spencer, Auburndale, Athens, Flambeau, Medford, Wisconsin Rapids, Tomah, Sparta, Mosinee, Loyal/Greenwood, Pittsville, Chippewa Falls and Granton.
Last year’s races were won by Andrew Faris of Chippewa Falls (17:03.25) and Ashley Eckhoff of Wausau East (15:13.59). Wausau East, which is not competing in this year’s meet, won both the boys and girls team titles.
