WEST BEND – The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County went 1-1 Friday at the University of Wisconsin-Washington County Triangular.
Marshfield lost to Washington County 18-25, 25-14, 25-16, and defeated Fox Valley Technical College of Appleton 25-19, 25-23, 25-20.
Sophomore Aleena Cook of Stratford had 10 kills to lead the Marauders. A pair of freshmen from Auburndale also led the charge for UW-Marshfield – Lindsay Gotz had eight kills and seven aces, and Kimberly Masephol had six aces.
Marshfield hosts three matches in the upcoming week – Monday against UW-Richland, Wednesday against UW-Marathon County and Friday against UW-Barron County. All three matches start at 5 p.m.
