UW-Marshfield/Wood County volleyball swept by UW-Baraboo

MARSHFIELD – The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County volleyball team closed its regular season with Play 4 Pink Night to support the Susan G. Komen for a Cure on Wednesday.

UW-Baraboo defeated the Marauders 3-0 by scores of 25-14, 25-21, 25-23, as both teams wore pink to show their support for breast cancer awareness.

Volleyball players from Abbotsford Middle School, Abbotsford High School, Wisconsin Rapids Middle School and Wisconsin Rapids Assumption High School came to show their support for the Marauders.

Lindsay Gotz had six kills, Aleena Cook and Raylee Baltus each had five kills and Kimberly Masephol had 46 assists for the Marauders.

UW-Marshfield/Wood County will travel to the Wisconsin Junior College Athletic Association State Tournament this weekend in the Wisconsin Dells.
