Marshfield High School senior Maggie Field was one of 155 female golfers named to the Golf Coaches Association of Wisconsin Academic All-State Team, which was released Tuesday.
Field, who finished 20th at the WIAA Division 1 La Crosse Sectional in October, qualified for the academic all-state team by having a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher and was nominated by her coach, Mike Field.
The average cumulative GPA of this year’s honorees was 3.852 and 13 of the top 20 finishers for the two divisions at the WIAA State Girls Golf Championships were named to the academic all-state team, according to the GCAW.
