UW-Marshfield/Wood County women’s basketball team routs UW-Richland, improves to 5-0

MARSHFIELD – Ashley Pongratz had 18 points and six rebounds to lead the University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County women’s basketball team to another convincing win – a 66-35 rout of UW-Richland on Wednesday at the Marauder Gym.

Marshfield improves to 5-0 this season.

“The ladies play so well together,” Marauders coach Rhonda Keding said. “They use everyone on the team. No one is selfish and they know what the next person’s ability is.”

Bailey Klieforth scored 11 points and had six rebounds, Paige Albrecht chipped in 10 points and five assists, Tiffany Becker added six rebounds and Marissa Draxler had four assists for the Marauders.

UW-Marshfield/Wood County is off now until after the Thanksgiving holiday when it hosts UW-Marinette at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 28.
