Marshfield JV boys basketball team rips Wausau West

WAUSAU – The Marshfield JV boys basketball team used a 14-0 run in the second quarter to blow past Wausau West 50-34 in a Wisconsin Valley Conference game Tuesday night.

The Tigers led 12-8 after one quarter and 26-8 at halftime after the big second quarter. Marshfield pushed its lead to 40-17 after three quarters.

Five Marshfield players scored at least six points, led by 10 from Craig Serchen and nine each from Kegan Fasler and Alex Strege. Fasler made three of the Tigers’ six 3-pointers.

Marshfield had 13 assists on 20 made baskets.

Marshfield (10-5, 4-4 WVC) hosts Stevens Point on Friday.
