Stevens Point edges Marshfield JV boys basketball

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield JV boys basketball team dropped a 55-49 decision to Stevens Point on Friday night at Marshfield High School.

The Tigers fall to 10-6 and 4-5 in the WVC.

Camilo Mesa and Alex Strege each scored nine points in a balanced scoring effort for the Tigers. Caleb Alexander, Craig Serchen and Jeff Allison added eight each and Kegan Fasler had seven points for Marshfield.

The Tigers shot just 19 of 52 from the field and 4 of 18 from 3-point range in the loss.

Marshfield plays at Lakeland on Tuesday and at D.C. Everest next Friday.
