Binder, Sullivan lead Columbus Catholic baseball past Granton

GRANTON – Pat Sullivan went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run and scored four times to lead the Marshfield Columbus Catholic baseball team to an 8-1 win over Granton in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Friday.

Jeremy Binder struck out 11 and did not walk a batter, scattering four hits to earn the win for the Dons (2-5, 2-3 Cloverbelt East).

Granton falls to 0-5 overall and in the conference.

Columbus scored single runs in the first, third and fifth innings before blowing the game open with a five-run sixth.

The Dons play at Loyal Tuesday and host Colby on Thursday next week.
