Marshfield freshman football falls to Wausau West

WAUSAU – Tyson Slade tossed a pair of touchdown passes and Nick Hoheisel ran for 124 yards but the Marshfield freshman football team was outscored by Wausau West 29-13 in a Wisconsin Valley Conference game Thursday at West High School.

Slade threw scoring passes of 62 and 19 yards to Drew Hanson, who finished with 87 yards receiving on three catches.

Hoheisel ran 19 times for 124 yards for the Tigers.

Craig Lyon, Jakob Bohman and Zach McManus led Marshfield in tackles, and Alex Miller had an interception for the defense.

The Tigers host Wausau East at 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 13 at Beell Stadium.
