UW-Marshfield/Wood County volleyball rolls to second straight win

RICHLAND – The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County volleyball team won its second straight match to start the season as it downed UW-Richland 3-0 on Wednesday.

The Marauders won 25-14, 25-21, 25-7, to improve to 2-0.

Aubrie Bissonette had four blocks in the first game to get the Marauders off to a good start.

Lindsay Gotz had three kills and Kimberly Masephol had 17 assists in the second game to propel UW-Marshfield/Wood County to the win.

April Martens started the third game with six straight service points, including two aces, as the Marauders rolled to the sweep.

The Marauders will be on the road Friday at UW-Marathon in Wausau and take part in a tournament on Saturday at UW-Marinette.
