UW-Marshfield/Wood County volleyball sweeps UW-Fox Valley

MARSHFIELD – The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield volleyball swept UW-Fox Valley 3-0 on Wednesday night at its annual Play 4 Pink event.

The Marauders won 25-17, 25-23, 25-18, behind Rachel Ludwig’s eight kills and seven from Lindsay Gotz.

UW-Marshfield/Wood County wore pink uniforms to bring awareness of the fight for a cure for breast cancer.

High school teams from Spencer, Edgar, Prentice and Abbotsford attended the game to show support for the Marauders.

All proceeds from the event went to support the Marshfield Clinic Research Foundation.

Kimberly Masephol had five service aces for the Marauders, who improve to 6-2 on the season.

UW-Marshfield/Wood County hosts Northland International University at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
