STRATFORD – Stratford racked up 353 rushing yards and Travis Urlaub and Eli Temanson each scored three times as the Tigers rolled past Prentice/Rib Lake 56-6 in a Marawood Conference football game Friday night at Tiger Stadium.
Temanson ran for 156 yards on just nine carries and scored on runs of 60 and 56 yards, and had a 53-yard punt return for a score, and Urlaub had TD runs of 32, 9 and 3 yards while gaining 82 yards on the ground for Stratford.
Stratford outgained the Hawks 433-182, including 353-108 rushing. The Tigers also picked off Prentice/Rib Lake quarterback Teague Shoup four times and recovered two fumbles.
Stratford improves to 5-2 and 5-1 in the Marawood Conference. The Tigers close out their season Oct. 12 at home against Auburndale. The game will be broadcast on WOSQ-FM 92.3 and wdlbwosq.com with pregame starting at 6:30 p.m.
Prentice/Rib Lake is eliminated from playoff contention and falls to 2-5 and 2-4 in the conference. The Hawks play at Tomahawk next week.
