Marshfield senior linebacker Ross Zillman was named as the Linebacker of the Year and was one of five players named to the first team of the 2012 Valley Football Association South Division All-Conference Team, which was released earlier this week.
Zillman, senior defensive lineman Eric Seehafer and senior running back Riley Gebelein were unanimous first-team selections for Marshfield, which was co-champion of the VFA South, along with Stevens Point. Gebelein and Zillman are repeat first-team all-VFA South performers.
Also earning first-team status for Marshfield were offensive guard Nick Thornton and defensive back Tanner Happe.
Gebelein ran for 702 yards, which was fourth in the conference, and scored 12 touchdowns, which was second.
Wide receiver Ryan Trierweiler and return specialist Daulton Varsho were second-team picks for the Tigers, with Varsho (safety), Craig Serchen (defensive end), Mitch Zillman (linebacker), Brandon Baltus (cornerback), Tom Gershman (offensive tackle), Brad Schroeder (offensive tackle), Kane Seubert (tight end), Tanner Dennis-Brown (wide receiver), Keiron Howlett (running back), Caleb Cline (fullback) and Bo Howard (quarterback) all earning honorable mention status for Marshfield.
Stevens Point running back Zach Pozorski was named as the Offensive Player of the Year, with SPASH defensive lineman Adam Wachowiak earning Defensive Player of the Year honors. Menasha coach Jeramie Korth was named Coach of the Year.
Pozorski led the conference with 930 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns.
