MARSHFIELD – Megan Marotz and Emma Holbrook won individual races and teamed with two others to win the 400 freestyle relay for Marshfield’s only three victories in a 101-69 loss to Stevens Point Area Senior High in a Wisconsin Valley Conference girls swimming dual meet Thursday at Marshfield High School.
Marotz won the 50 freestyle in 26.39 seconds and Holbrook took first in the 200 IM in 2:24.61 for the Tigers.
Marotz, Holbrook, Laura Josephson and Sarah Claessens won the 400 freestyle relay in 4:05.62 for Marshfield’s other victory.
Marotz, Holbrook, Josephson and Claessens all had second-place finishes and Walker Guzowski had two runner-up finishes for the Tigers.
Natalie Neuwirth, Sara Tainter and Janna Check each won two races for SPASH, which finishes the WVC dual season with a 3-3 record. Marshfield ends up 1-5.
Marshfield will compete at the Wisconsin Valley Conference Meet at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Oct. 25.
