MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield wrestling team kicked off its season with a 57-14 nonconference win over Mosinee on Thursday night at Marshfield High School.
Devon Klement (126 pounds), Mitch Hertel (145), Ryan Wilsmann (170), Kane Seubert (182), Brad Schroeder (220) and Tristan Wilson (285) all won by pin for the Tigers in the dominating win.
“I was real happy tonight with our intensity and our effort,” Marshfield coach Don Lang said. “Good to see us keeping guys on their back this early in the season with those six pins.”
Tyler Manthe (138) added a win for Marshfield and Josh Lang, Sara Fuller and Mitch Zillman each won by forfeit.
Marshfield will take part in the 10-team Campbellsport Invitational on Saturday.
