Marshfield juniors Darian Molter and Walker Guzowski were named to the first team of the 2013 All-Wisconsin Valley Conference Girls Soccer Team.
Molter, a forward, was a unanimous first-team selection for the second straight year after leading the WVC in total points with 48 (23 goals, two assists).
Guzowski, a defender, had two goals and was second in the conference with eight assists.
Marshfield’s Alison Gruen, a senior forward, was named to the second team. A four-year starter for the Tigers, Gruen had seven goals and two assists in the conference and finishes her career as the program’s third all-time leading scorer with 97 points (43 goals, 11 assists).
Seniors Megan Marotz and Maddie Smith, and freshman Julia Urban were honorable mention choices for Marshfield.
Marotz and Smith were both four-year starters for the Tigers. Urban had four goals and three assists in conference play.
Stevens Point’s Sarah Peplinski, a senior goalkeeper, was named the WVC Player of the Year.
