Marshfield Chaparrals shutout Waupaca

MARSHFIELD – Ryan Williams tossed seven scoreless innings and the Marshfield Chaparrals pounded out 14 hits in a 10-0 win over the Waupaca Lakemen in amateur baseball action Wednesday at Jack Hackman Field.

Williams struck out seven, walked one and allowed just four hits to earn the win for Marshfield (4-2). Lucius Messerschmidt tossed a scoreless eighth inning and the Chaps finished off the win via the 10-run rule with a pair of runs in the bottom of the eighth.

Austin Littmann was 4-for-5 and scored three times, Sam Arnott had two hits and three runs scored, Eric Pritzl was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and Jordan Litwatis had three hits to pace the Marshfield offensive attack.

The Chaparrals are back in action Friday at Plover.
