EAU CLAIRE – The Marshfield girls tennis team finished 3-2 and placed third at the Big Rivers/Wisconsin Valley Conference Challenge on Friday and Saturday at Eau Claire Memorial High School.
The Tigers defeated Eau Claire North, D.C. Everest and Menomonie, and lost to Memorial and Hudson.
Marshfield’s three doubles teams combined for an 11-4 record in the five dual meets to lead the way.
Marshfield hosts Wausau West on Monday in a WVC dual meet. It is a make-up for the meet that was rained out on Sept. 19.
