MARSHFIELD – Sean McCarthy scored four goals and assisted on the other as the Marshfield Columbus Catholic boys soccer team defeated Tri-County 5-3 in a Mid-State Soccer Conference match Monday at Griese Park.
Jared Fleischmann scored the other goal for the Dons, who improve to 8-4 overall and 6-2 in the conference. Tri-County falls to 1-4-1 in the conference.
Columbus goalkeeper Evan Hansen made one save as Tri-County scored on three of its four shots on goal.
Columbus Catholic plays another conference game at Wisconsin Valley Lutheran in Mosinee on Thursday.
