STRATFORD – Kizzy & Sue’s Bar & Grill outlasted Smazel’s Hunters Choice in a shootout, winning 93-91 in Stratford STAR Men’s Basketball League action Sunday.
Aaron Linzmeier had 28 points to lead Kizzy & Sue’s. Chris Hannula scored 31 and Jimmy Flink added 29 for Smazel’s.
In other action Sunday:
*The Shack II defeated Victory Apparel 72-68 behind 20 points from John Leonhardt. Mike Reimer led Victory Apparel with 30 points.
*Dental Crafters beat The Shack 65-58. No leading scorers were provided.
*Marawood Construction edged A&B Process Systems 82-80. Mike Kupfer had 23 points and Bryan Weichelt had 20 for Marawood. Andy Bliven drilled 10 3-pointers and scored 30 points for A&B.
*Justin Schmoll had 23 points and David Conovan had 21 to lead Marshfield Country Club to an 85-74 win over Arby’s.
*Barry Messman scored 34 points as Resource Recovery defeated Davis Auto 75-66. Lucious Messerschmidt had 26 points for Davis Auto.
*Rose Bowl Lanes snuck past USBancorp 78-75. Shawn Hanke had 24 points and Dan Dargenio had 22 for Rose Bowl. Chris Newbury led USBancorp with 24 points.
