Stratford boys basketball edges Northland Lutheran

STRATFORD – A.J. Strasser had 14 points and Jake Reif added 13 points and six rebounds to lead the Stratford boys basketball team to a hard-fought 57-54 win over Northland Lutheran in a Marawood Conference South Division matchup Thursday night at Stratford High School.

Stratford outscored the Wildcats 26-22 in the second half to pull out the tight win. No quarter was decided by more than three points.

Stratford is now 4-8 overall and 4-4 in the Marawood South, while Northland Lutheran drops to 7-9 and 2-8 in the conference.

Danny Warden had 18 points and Tim Venus had 17 for the Wildcats.

Stratford plays at Edgar on Tuesday.
