WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Jake Reif scored half of Stratford’s points and the Tigers held off Wisconsin Rapids Assumption 46-44 in a Marawood Conference South Division boys basketball game Tuesday night at Assumption High School.
Stratford moves to 6-1 overall and 2-1 in the Marawood South, while Assumption drops to 4-2 and 1-2 in the conference.
Reif finished with 23 points to top the Tigers. It is his fourth game this season with at least 19 points.
The game was tied at 20-20 at halftime, with Stratford pulling ahead by two after three quarters and hanging on from there.
Chase Lamp had 21 points for the Royals.
Stratford’s next game is Jan. 5 at Edgar.
