Zach Leggon rallies Marshfield boys hockey past Chequamegon/Phillips

PARK FALLS – Zach Leggon led a furious comeback as the Marshfield boys hockey team defeated Chequamegon/Phillips 5-3 on Tuesday at the Park Falls Rec Center.

Trailed 3-0, Leggon assisted on a goal by Bryce Gadke with 3:05 to go in the second period, then scored four straight goals over the final 10 minutes to lead Marshfield (4-7) to the road victory.

Leggon scored goals at the 6:50, 9:17, 14:05 and 15:57 marks to push Marshfield into the lead.

Scotty Berg had eight saves in goal for Marshfield in third period to keep Chequamegon/Phillips (2-9-2) from scoring.

Marshfield’s next game is Saturday at Merrill.
