WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Marshfield had its top four golfers finish in the top 15 overall as it tied for second at the third leg of the Wisconsin Valley Conference Boys Golf Tournament on Friday at Bullseye Golf Club.
Marshfield was the host school.
Wausau East won its third-straight tournament meet with a score of 311, with Marshfield tying Stevens Point for second with 330. The Tigers had placed third at the first two WVC meets.
Cooper Bjerke won his third-straight individual title, shooting a 73 for Wausau East, with teammate Sawyer Krambs second with a 76.
Tyler Heiman finished sixth with an 80, Afton Hamill was right behind in seventh with an 81, Keegan Fredrick tied for 10th with an 84, and Magnus Machtan tied for 15th with an 85 for Marshfield.
The fourth leg of the seven-event tournament will be played Monday at Wausau Country Club.
