Auburndale softball slams River Valley

WAUTOMA – The Auburndale softball team scored 11 times in the first two innings and defeated River Valley 11-3 on Saturday at the Wautoma Quad at Wautoma High School.

The second game of the tournament was canceled.

Sammy Stanton went the distance on the mound for Auburndale (12-3), scattering 11 hits while striking out three. She also added a pair of triples at the plate.

Hope Schulte had a single, a triple and four RBI, and Danika Blomberg had two hits and drove in two for the Eagles.

Auburndale’s next game is Tuesday at Edgar.
