Bobby Pilz scores 29 points as Spencer boys basketball beats Rib Lake

SPENCER – Bobby Pilz poured in 29 points, which included five 3-pointers, and the Spencer boys basketball team pushed past Rib Lake 64-54 in a nonconference game Monday night at Spencer High School.

Pilz made 9 of 13 shots overall, including 5 of 7 from 3-point range, to lead the Rockets.

The game was tied 29-29 at halftime before Spencer outscored the Redmen 17-13 in the third quarter and 18-12 in the fourth to earn the win.

Spencer improves to 9-1, while Rib Lake is now 6-5.

The Rockets hosts Greenwood on Friday at 7:30 p.m. in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game. The game will be broadcast on WOSQ-FM 92.3 and wdlbwosq.com.
