Stratford boys basketball drops WIAA Division 4 regional quarterfinal at Edgar

EDGAR – The Stratford boys basketball team’s season came to an end with a 41-27 loss to Edgar in a WIAA Division 4 regional quarterfinal Tuesday night at Edgar High School.

Edgar (15-8) advances to a Division 4 regional semifinal at Marathon (22-0) on Friday. Stratford ends its season with a 14-9 record.

Edgar pulled ahead early, outscoring the Tigers 10-5 in the first quarter and leading 22-9 at halftime.

No Stratford player scored in double figures. Jake Reif had seven to lead the Tigers.

Maverick Mueller had 13 points and Austin Borchardt added 12 for Edgar.
