Columbus Catholic baseball beats Colby for fifth-straight win

COLBY – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic baseball team rallied from a three-run deficit to beat Colby 12-7 in a nonconference game Thursday at Colby High School.

Jeremy Binder was 3-for-4 with three RBIs for the Dons, who improve to 9-10 after winning for the fifth-straight time.

Colby led 6-3 after four innings before Columbus Catholic scored four times in the fifth and five times in the sixth to pull away.

Kienan McIntee earned the win with three innings of relief and added two doubles at the plate. John Edwards also had a pair of hits for the Dons.

Columbus Catholic hosts Eau Claire Regis at 5 p.m. Friday at Jack Hackman Field in its regular-season finale. The Dons will host Northland Lutheran/Wisconsin Valley Lutheran in a WIAA Division 4 regional quarterfinal on Tuesday.
