WAUSAU – Marshfield’s No. 1 singles player Bryce Gadke finished second at the Division 1 Wausau East sectional to earn a spot in next week’s WIAA State Individual Boys Tennis Tournament in Madison.

Gadke won two matches to earn a spot in the state tournament, which will be June 4-6 at the Nielsen Tennis Stadium on the University of Wisconsin campus.

The Tigers’ No. 3 doubles team of Tanner Boson and Tom Kruger also placed second, winning their first match. No. 3 doubles is not eligible for the state tournament.
