Marshfield baseball, soccer games postponed to Monday

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield baseball team’s game against D.C. Everest was rained out Monday in the bottom of the first inning.

The game will resume at 4:30 p.m. Monday at Jack Hackman Field with Marshfield leading 5-1.

Brett Baur had a sacrifice fly, Austin Littman knocked in a run with a single, Nick Treankler had a two-run single and Colin Telin scored on an error in the first to put Marshfield up 5-1.

D.C. Everest was changing pitchers with two outs in the inning when the game was stopped due to lightning in the area, then postponed after a thunderstorm blew through Marshfield.

The JV game also will be restarted at 4:30 p.m. at Reeths Field.

The Marshfield girls soccer game against Stevens Point that was postponed by Tuesday’s storm also has been rescheduled for Monday. The game will be played at 5 p.m. at Griese Park.
