TOMAH – The Marshfield boys hockey team dominated Sauk Prairie with a 7-0 victory in the third-place game of the Tomah Invitational on Saturday.

Ryan Krueger, who scored twice in a loss to Tomah on Friday, scored twice again to lead the Tigers (1-1).

Krueger’s goal 4:27 into the game got the Tigers on the scoreboard and that goal proved to be the game-winner as goalie Haydon Roy-Peterson saved all eight shots he faced and reserve Logan Cherney had three saves as well.

Isaac Wellens, Hunter Gwynn, Klaus Friedli, Collin Barth and Zackary Schmidt added goals for the Tigers.

Marshfield hosts Wausau West in its Wisconsin Valley Conference opener on Thursday at the Marshfield Youth Ice Center at 7 p.m.
