STRATFORD – The Stratford STAR Men’s Basketball League wrapped up regular-season play Sunday, Jan. 24, with six games in two divisions.
In the A Division, Prudential/Success Realty and Victory Apparel finished in the top two spots in the standings and earned first-round byes for the playoffs that begin Jan. 31. Wick’s Auto Body took first place in the B Division and also earned a bye.
Here is a look at the results from Sunday’s games:
A Division
*Chris Murphy scored a league-high 41 points as US Bancorp topped Smazal’s Hunters Choice 83-75. Justin Schaefer had 30 points and Chris Hannula had 26 for Smazal’s.
*Prudential/Success Realty defeated A&B Process Systems 97-86. Cain Trunkel scored 30 points, Ben Slemkes had 21, and Mike Kupfer had 20 for Prudential/Success Realty. Nate Lehman had 25 points and Tom Schaer had 23 for A&B.
*Victory Apparel cruised past Kafka Forestry 94-58. Conner Staab had 25 points, Mike Riemer and Jordan Schlinsog each had 24 for Victory Apparel.
B Division
*Marshfield Country Club knocked off Davis Auto 85-67. Chris Klimpke poured in 35 points for MCC. Kyle Davis had 21 points for Davis Auto.
*Arby’s beat BSI Stainless 99-67. Dion Behm had 35 points, Derek Wojcik scored 25, and Jeremy Bulgrin had 24 for Arby’s. Bowdie Krall had 22 points for BSI.
*Wick’s Auto Body beat Resource Recovery 65-56.
