Stratford STAR Men’s Basketball League holds championship, third-place tournament games

STRATFORD – The Stratford STAR Men’s Basketball League finished its season with championship and third-place games in its annual postseason tournament on Sunday.

In Division A, Prudential/Success Realty downed Victory Apparel 63-49 to claim in the title. Dan Dargenio led Prudential/Success Realty with 18 points. Mike Reimer had 13 points for Victory Apparel.

In the third-place game, Kafka Forestry defeated Smazal’s Hunters Choice 60-54. Marshall Lehman had 19 points for Kakfa. Brian Bartnik topped Smazal’s with 12.

In Division B, Wick’s Auto Body edged Marshfield Country Club 80-79 in overtime to win the championship. Jeff Quednow had 34 points in the win for Wick’s. Josh Hennes had 23 points and Chris Klimpke scored 22 for MCC.

In the Division B third-place game, Davis Auto rolled past Nutz Deep II 95-62. Kyle Davis scored 36 points, Dan Stelzer added 31 and Lucas Messerschmidt had 20 for Davis Auto. Kenny Pettit led Nutz Deep II with 16 points.
