Marshfield boys golf third at D.C. Everest Invite

WAUSAU – Derek Michalski finished with a seven-over par 79 and the Marshfield boys golf team finished third in the five-team D.C. Everest Invitational on Friday at Greenwood Hills Country Club.

Matt Tuman of Wausau East won medalist honors with a one-under par 71, six shots ahead of teammate Landon Dehnel, who was second with a 77.

Zach Hanson also had a top-10 finish for the Tigers, taking 10th with an 86.

Marshfield had a team score of 342, five shots behind second-place Wausau West. Wausau East easily won the team title with a score of 318.

Marshfield will compete in the Wisconsin Rapids Triangular along with Stevens Point at Bulls Eye Country Club on Monday.
