Donahue rips two homers, strikes out 14 as Marshfield softball beats Wausau West

WAUSAU – Megan Donahue hit a pair of home runs and struck out 14 on the mound to lift the Marshfield softball team to a 9-4 victory over Wausau West on Thursday.

Donahue finished 3-for-3, scored three times and drove in five runs for the Tigers, who improve to 6-6 overall and 2-3 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference. West drops to 2-6 and 1-5 in the conference.

Marshfield had nine hits in all, including a pair by Lexi Dupee.

Donahue earned the win with a complete-game effort. Two of the four runs she allowed were unearned.

Marshfield plays a nonconference game at Mosinee on Friday.
