Marshfield baseball beats D.C. Everest

WESTON – The Marshfield baseball team won for the sixth time in its last seven games, beating D.C. Everest 5-2 in eight innings on Tuesday.

With the win, the Tigers (10-14 overall) move into four-way tie for second place in the Wisconsin Valley Conference, along with Rhinelander, Wausau West and Everest, with a 6-5 record.

Marshfield closes out its regular season at home against conference champion Stevens Point on Thursday at Jack Hackman Field. The Tigers open WIAA postseason action with a Division 1 regional semifinal at New Richmond on June 1.
